A delicious meal, of which we know the origin, in a piece of idyllic countryside, quiet, well-kept - heart, what more could you want.

When the calm sets in and the sun's rays are still pleasantly warm, Carinthia awaits with a romantic, mystical atmosphere. The best time for connoisseurs to fully enjoy the most beautiful views on the mountains, the most delicious Alps-Adriatic delicacies in the Buschenschanken and the coziest, most artistic alpine huts.

Hand on heart: Those who skillfully combine hiking pleasures with pleasure during their autumn vacation are more motivated to hike. Feast, for example, at the Naggleralm high above Lake Weissensee at 1,300 meters above sea level, which can be reached on foot in 1.5 hours from the valley station, by mountain bike or comfortably by mountain railroad. The spirited landlady Almut Knaller spoils with her Carinthian specialties from organic, maximum a few kilometers away production. "A togetherness that still resonates with the guest at the plate!" as she says. Not to forget her listening pleasures on the Kulturwiese with folk music, jazz and blues sounds.

Not far away, Franz Glabischnig, incidentally one of the first organic farmers in the country, relies with his Alexanderhütte on genuineness and pure naturalness of organic products from Carinthia. The organic family business focuses on enjoyment, a sense of home and hospitality - just as you would expect on a local alpine pasture in the middle of the mountains. The 1,800 meters of altitude, even easily accessible with strollers, reward with perhaps the most beautiful view over Lake Millstatt.

Jauntal & Rosental, fromLavamünd, where the Lavant flows into the Drau, which shortly afterwards leaves Carinthia in the direction of Slovenia, the Jauntal valley stretches westward and boasts two Austrian regions of pleasure. The Jauntaler Salami and the Jauntaler Hadn (buckwheat) characterize the rural and gastronomic course of the year here. The sweet Carinthian Reindling is called here of "Pohaca".

The family hiking area of the Nockberge National Park also offers culinary delights. The Carinthian Almoch or "Nockberge Almrind" is another quality product that should definitely be served here. In the heart of the Carinthian Nockberge mountains, gourmets will find good and genuine hospitality at the Almgasthaus Hiasl Zirbenhütte. With products from their own organic farm, you can enjoy excellent regional cuisine here.

Should they now feel like baking a real Carinthian Reindling, then we have the right recipe here.
