Molinet House of Chocolate is a legacy of passion, creativity and craftsmanship - carefully nurtured and passed down through generations. The story began in 1999, when Maks' father Uroš, driven by his love of chocolate and the desire to create something extraordinary, founded a family business in the cozy rooms of the family home. In the heart of Slovenia, Uroš dedicated himself to the art of chocolate making, specializing in exquisite pralines and varied chocolate bars that quickly gained a reputation for their impeccable taste and quality.

Under Uroš's skillful hands, chocolate became more than just a sweet treat - it became an experience. His creations were so revered that even the world-famous Elan skis were covered in chocolate in the Molinet atelier - an artistic endeavor that combined local pride with delicious indulgence. The family not only dedicated themselves to their craft, but also designed a real chocolate roulette that became the talk of several chocolate festivals in Radovljica, demonstrating their boundless creativity and commitment to pushing the boundaries of chocolate art. A chocolate lover coming to Slovenia should not miss the famous Chocolate Festival (always in April) in Raloca (Radovljica).

Over the years, the Molinet family business flourished and the torch was eventually passed to the younger generation. Today, the business is run by Maks, who inherited his father's passion and know-how. Maks also makes every piece of chocolate by hand with love, sticking to the family recipes perfected over decades. However, Maks was also determined to bring his own sense of creativity and innovation to the products. His latest creations, in bright colors and imaginative designs, now enrich the Molinet repertoire.

Maks started his culinary career very young, at the age of 16. He learned only from the best chefs in his area, including at Mateja's restaurant(Restaurant Tabor). They had already been working together for 5 years when Maks decided to take over his father's chocolate factory. The Tabor restaurant team supported Maks in his early days as a chocolatier and were, of course, his first regular customers. Today, Maks, Mateja and their team continue to work together on a wide variety of projects, combining new culinary flavors and creating experiences for guests from all over the world.
