Excellent natural snow slopes, impressive panoramas and a real snow guarantee.

All five glaciers offer pure skiing fun from September to June! In Hintertux you can even ski all year round. Those who ski at over 3,000 meters quickly realize: higher is simply better...

YOUNG STAR
The Kaunertal Glacier (1,273 - 3,108 meters) owes its nickname "Tyrol's youngest glacier " in no way to its age, but to the crowd that eagerly storms the slopes as early as the end of September. This is where the freeski and snowboard scene meets in the Kaunertal Snowpark. And what would a "young" ski resort be without a proper inaugural party? Every year in October, the already legendary Kaunertal Opening takes place, which scores points with the youngsters with contests, parties and a gigantic festival. If, on the other hand, you are looking for peace, relaxation and a bit of a break from stressful everyday life, you can admire the white giants of the Austria-Italy-Switzerland border triangle on the viewing platform at the Karlesjochbahn lift at 3108 meters and really let your soul soar.

Skiing Austria Alps, Pitztal Glacier

Skiing area Pitztal Glacier

THE GENTLE GIANT
The Pitztal Glacier (1,680 - 3,440 meters) is unsurpassed in size in all of Tyrol. And with the highest cable car in Austria, the ski area also impresses in terms of infrastructure. At 3,440 meters, 50 surrounding peaks of the imposing three-thousand-meter peaks can be marveled at from the panoramic cable car - deep below the skiers spread out the 85-hectare ski area with 68 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes. And those less in search of thrills and dizzying challenges can sweeten their time with physical activity at the newly built cross-country skiing center at 2,690 meters. On seven kilometers of slopes of the glacier cross-country ski trail, you can train for the still young season, the cross-country ski opening in November provides the necessary motivation. The still young season is then welcomed once again at the highest glacier festival in October.

Skiing Tyrol, Sölden ski resort

Glacier ski resort Sölden

WHERE THE GLACIER BUBBLES
Whether party or state-of-the-art architecture - the glacier in Sölden (1,350 - 3,340 meters) offers everyone an enormous variety of leisure activities. The Gaislachkoglbahn with its three stations transports a total of 5,000 people within an hour and ensures the most pleasant comfort with escalators and lifts.

The 10-person Rotkogl gondola from the hotel village of Hochsölden to the top station of the Giggijochbahn makes it easy to connect from the ski-in/ski-out resort to the glacier ski areas on the Tiefenbach and Rettenbach glaciers. Here you can ski down three three-thousand-meter peaks in one day via the BIG3 Ralley: Schwarze Schneid (3,340 m), Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m) and Gaislachkogl (3,058 m). If you ski down all of them, you will have covered 50 kilometers and a total of more than 5,200 meters in altitude by the end of the ski day.

The glacier slopes in Sölden are open from September to May.

Austria's largest glacier ski area

most family friendly ski resort Stubai Glacier

THE FAMILY FRIENDLY
Once again, the Stubai Glacier (1,000 - 3,210 meters) was named the most family-friendly ski resort in the Alps by the ADAC SkiGuide. Austria's largest glacier ski area with 700 hectares total area and 110 kilometers of slopes convinces with its loving child care, such as the "BIG Family Ski Camp" and provides with kindergarten and its own children's restaurant for the satisfaction of the little ski stars, as well as relaxation for parents. In addition to the Stubai Glacier, the Kaunertal and Pitztal Glaciers also give the little ones a great gift: children up to the age of 10 ski for free when accompanied by an adult. The season is welcomed in blue and white on the Stubai Glacier: "O'zapft is" is always the motto in October at the Oktoberfest at 2,900 meters. In November, the SportScheck GlacierTestival attracts visitors with the largest equipment check in the Alps: over 3,600 winter sports articles are presented.
