Majestic, the peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. At their feet the villages of Grindelwald, Wengen, Mürren and Lauterbrunnen.

In winter, over 200 kilometers of slopes in three ski areas invite you to ski and snowboard. On 100 kilometers of winter hiking trails and sledding trails you can be enchanted by the beautiful winter landscape. Away from the hustle and bustle, it is wonderful to go snowshoeing. Two cross-country ski trails, various curling and ice rinks, an indoor rope park and wellness facilities round off the offer.

Rail excursions to the Jungfraujoch, the highest mountain station in Europe and the Schilthorn - Piz Gloria - are the excursion highlights. For almost 100 years, the Jungfrau Railway has brought guests from all over the world to Europe's highest railroad station at 3,454 meters, the Jungfraujoch. On the opposite side of the valley, the cable car leads up to the Schilthorn. James Bond already enjoyed the view of 200 Alpine peaks from the revolving restaurant here.

Rail experiences - Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn
The highlight of any trip to Switzerland is the journey to Europe's highest railroad station at 3,454 meters, the Jungfraujoch. From Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen, the cogwheel railroad runs 365 days a year to the Kleine Scheidegg Alpine Railway Station at the foot of the world-famous Eiger North Face. The journey from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch passes through the Eiger and Mönch and offers fascinating views right through the Eiger North Face to Grindelwald as well as the Arctic Ocean during two intermediate stops. On the 2,970-meter Schilthorn, the view from the 360° panorama revolving restaurant of over 200 Alpine peaks is fascinating.

Let the powder fly - skiing and snowboarding fun
In the three ski areas; Grindelwald-First, Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and Mürren-Schilthorn, more than 200 kilometers of pistes provide plenty of snow fun. Grindelwald-First is the sunniest of all three sub-areas and is particularly suitable for families as well as young people who want to let off steam in the fun park "White Elements". Slow skiers will get their money's worth on the Tempo 30 slope. In the Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen region, there is everything from beginner's slopes to the fast-paced Lauberhorn run for every skiing level. In the Mürren-Schilthorn area, children make their first turns in the children's paradise in the middle of the village, while for experienced skiers and snowboarders, the Inferno downhill run from the Schilthorn via Mürren down to Lauterbrunnen, which is over 15 kilometers long and 2,000 meters in altitude, is a must. Among freeriders, the powder snow slopes of the Schilthorn are well-known and popular.

Explore the snow-covered mountain world - sledging and winter hiking
Non-skiers linger on 100 kilometers of winter hiking and sledding trails in Wengen, Mürren, Isenfluh and Grindelwald. The longest toboggan run in the Alps leads from the Faulhorn over 15 kilometers and an altitude difference of 1,600 meters via Bussalp down to Grindelwald. The Velogemel is Grindelwald's traditional means of transport in the snow; even today the wooden velos on runners are handmade and can be rented for sledging fun.

Pirouettes and balance - curling and ice skating
Whether curling, curling, skating or ice hockey, there is something for everyone. A view of the unique mountain panorama from the natural and artificial ice rinks is a special highlight. All resorts in the region offer taster sessions for the various ice sports during the winter season.

Glittering, untouched snow - snowshoe tours
Snowshoe tours are a great way to enjoy the pristine winter landscape. If you are not yet familiar with reading maps or planning tours, book a snowshoe tour with a mountain guide or try out the signalized snowshoe trails in Grindelwald and Mürren.

Close to heaven - ski tours
Once in a lifetime standing on top of a peak - all around snow-covered mountains, far below are the villages. A classic among ski tours is to go from the Jungfraujoch up the Aletsch Glacier - incidentally the largest glacier in the Alps with its 23 kilometers in length - via Konkordiaplatz and Lötschenlücke into the Lötschental. Who is looking for the summit experience: Many three- and four-thousand-meter peaks in the Bernese Alps can be optimally climbed with skis. Local mountain guides are happy to lead guests through the high alpine winter world.
