For winter vacationers Schladming-Dachstein offers a wide range of possibilities

on its nine ski mountains in total. 85 cable cars, 230 kilometers of slopes and a modern infrastructure open up access to boundless skiing pleasure. The "hub of skiing" is the 4-mountain ski area, which connects Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. It is flanked in the west by the Fageralm and in the east by Galsterberg, Stoderzinken, Riesneralm and Planneralm. On all nine ski mountains in the region, family and child friendliness takes on an important role. There are a number of attractions especially for the smallest ski guests - from the first children's ski area in Austria to a ski route specially designed for children and the Kinderland.

The Schladming-Dachstein vacation region is one of five ski regions in Ski amadé, Austria's biggest skiing destination. 25 renowned ski resorts, 270 modern cable cars and 760 kilometers of well-groomed slopes are live. Pure child friendliness: Riesneralm and Planneralm
The Riesneralm in Donnersbachwald offers the first children's ski area and the longest conveyor belt in Austria ("Krispini Express", 176 meters long). The offer for children on six hectares of slopes also includes five different runs, a platter lift, a platter comfort lift, two magic carpets, a wave run, a playhouse and an adventure course. The Planneralm is considered an insider tip among families. In addition to a well-developed children's area with practice lift, magic carpets as well as witch and magic forest, it scores above all with three advantages: Idyllic and clear basin location, family-friendly prices and exclusively natural snow.
