When the snow cover slowly disappears, the scent of spring fills the land. The first spring messengers are already sticking their little heads out of the ground. There is joy and fresh energy in the air.

Even if nature blooms a little later in the mountains than in the valleys, it shines in a no less fascinating blaze of color.

The high mountain pasture Velika planina disappears under a purple crocus carpet.

An unforgettable sight is Golica (peak on the border between Slovenia and Austria, above the Slovenian town of Jesenice), which is also covered in white in May - only now instead of snow, daffodils cover the peak in the western Karavanke Mountains.

The Vršič Pass is the highest mountain pass in Slovenia passable for general motor traffic and connects Kranjska Gora with the village of Trenta in the Soča Valley. Here, during your hikes starting in June, you will discover a dreamlike alpine garden.

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city you can find relaxation in the botanical garden or Tivoli Park - the largest and most beautiful park in Ljubljana.
