Liechtenstein's landmark is Vaduz Castle high above the capital of the same name.

This has been owned by the Princes of Liechtenstein since 1712 and is not open to the public as it is the residence of the Princely Family. However, guests are welcome to visit the Principality's museums - such as the Ski Museum, the Stamp Museum, the Walser Museum and the National Museum - or the Museum of Modern Architecture, which displays works ranging from the old masters to contemporary art. Moreover, culinary connoisseurs will find internationally excellent gourmet restaurants, and the Prince's Court Cellars in Vaduz are considered an insider tip for wine connoisseurs.

Vaduz Castle
Visible from afar and close enough to touch, Liechtenstein's landmark sits enthroned on a rocky terrace above Vaduz, accessible via a romantic footpath. The approximately 700-year-old castle has been in the possession of the Princes of Liechtenstein since 1712. Since 1938 it has been the residence of the Princely Family and therefore cannot be visited. The keep from the 12th century and the buildings on the east side form the oldest part of the complex.

Court Winery of the Prince of Liechtenstein
The Hofkellerei des Fürsten von Liechtenstein in Vaduz with its cellar-owned vinotheque invites you to taste the wines of Liechtenstein. Only the best quality grapes from the vineyards spoiled by the mild foehn climate reach their own cellar facilities for vinification. Excellent wines and true rarities have earned the princely domain the reputation of a renowned winery. Only a ten-minute walk from the center of Vaduz, surrounded by vines and with a view of the princely castle, the Hofkellerei is well worth a visit for tasting or stocking your own wine cellar.

Art Museum Vaduz
The Liechtenstein Museum of Art presents mainly modern and contemporary art on 1,750 m2 of exhibition space. This year the art museum celebrates its 10th anniversary. As a focal point for the anniversary year, a unique Arte Povera exhibition featuring all the main representatives of this movement will be on view in the summer, and throughout the year, changing collection presentations of different perspectives on the museum's own holdings can be admired.

Citytrain Vaduz
Get on board, sit back and let's go! Enjoy the surroundings of the main town of Vaduz on a leisurely ride on the Vaduz City Train. Information about the country's history, sights and the Princely House accompany your 35-minute ride through the center of Liechtenstein.

Stamp rarities in the Postal Museum
The Postal Museum is a popular attraction for many of Liechtenstein's guests, as the small works of art travel around the world and are in everyone's mailbox every day. The museum presents Liechtenstein stamp rarities, historical documents, equipment and facilities related to postal history, and special exhibitions.
