135 selected historical sites and events, so-called Points of Interest (POIs), are linked by the Liechtenstein Trail to form a large whole. Historical events that have no geographical connection are placed between the location-based POIs. The trail leads through all 11 municipalities of Liechtenstein, either from south to north or vice versa. The Liechtenstein Trail can be accessed from any municipality. The entire route can also be walked in several stages.

New pop-up food trucks

Over the summer months, a new highlight awaits guests from Switzerland and abroad on the Liechtenstein Trail. Two pop-up food trucks at unique locations invite you to enjoy, relax and take in the magnificent views along the way.

PRINZENBRÄU TRUCK
In Liechtenstein's southernmost municipality of Balzers, guests are treated to beer and burgers. In a converted original US school bus, the Prinzenbräu brewery team serves regional delicacies right at the foot of the imposing Gutenberg Castle. The 1.4-ton smoker on which the burgers are roasted is named Princess - in keeping with the stately location.

GRANVILLE CAFÉ
In Planken, Liechtenstein's smallest municipality, visitors can expect a very special stop along the way. The Granville Café truck is located at one of the most beautiful vantage points on the Liechtenstein Trail. Roman Eggenberger, co-initiator of the truck, decided to "retrain" from banker to barista a few years ago. With a view of the 5-country corner of Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Oberland and Unterland, he serves guests locally roasted coffee, fine hemp products from regional cultivation and other delicacies.

On the road with an e-bike or gravel bike

The Liechtenstein Trail is also easy to explore by bike. The cycle route only deviates slightly from the hiking route in a few places, but you will still pass all of the country's attractions and sights. Simply plan this route in 3 stages so you don't miss anything...
