Small and fine - the Principality of Liechtenstein, which extends over just 160 square kilometers and nestles in the mountains between Switzerland and Austria, offers enough space for the coexistence of prosperity, modernity and tradition.

Active vacationers will find over 400 kilometers of well-marked hiking trails in the Principality of Liechtenstein in one of the most varied mountain landscapes in the Alpine region. Given the abundance of hiking trails, active vacationers can easily spend 14 days on the road without hiking on the same trails.

Majestic - the rocky trails of the Fürstensteig
You should be sure-footed and experienced for the hike along the Three Sisters Trail with the famous Fürstensteig. The trails, some of which are carved directly into the rock and run along the steep cliff edge, are secured and connected by a ridge trail that is rarely beautiful and offers great views. From the highest point, the Kuhgrat, one looks over the Rätikon to the Swiss and Vorarlberg Alps, while far below small villages, the Rhine and Lake Constance spread out. Via Alp Garsella, the secured climb can be bypassed through the rocky flanks of the Drei Schwestern, the central Liechtenstein summit massif. Then the path descends with Säntis view towards the well-deserved camp at the Gafadura hut.

Multiday hike Liechtensteiner Panoramaweg
The Liechtensteiner Panoramaweg is considered Liechtenstein's high-altitude classic. In the course of a three- to four-day tour, it connects ridges, summit experiences, mountain huts and panoramic views from the Rätikon to Lake Constance amidst the splendor of alpine flowers. Families combine walks with entertainment on numerous themed trails.
