Majestic peaks, embracing the Mediterranean south and over 300 days of sunshine a year, Dorf Tirol in the South Tyrolean vacation region Meraner Land.

La Dolce Vita with a spicy alpine touch.
If a few words had to suffice to describe the charming village of Tyrol, these would probably sum it up best.
Located on a sunny panoramic hill above the spa town of Merano, the resort is considered the sun terrace of South Tyrol.

From lemon to edelweiss, from Mediterranean to Alpine
Dorf Tirol is characterized by village originality and scenic beauty. Its unique, sun-drenched location makes the village so rich in contrasts. Dorf Tirol stretches from the Zenoberg at about 600 meters, which borders the city center of Merano, up to the nature park Texelgruppe and the Spronser Seenplatte at about 2,500 meters. In the lower part of the village you can find cypresses, palm trees, oleanders or lemon trees, in the high altitudes alpine conifers and alpine flowers thrive and the surrounding majestic peaks are often covered with snow until summer. It is not only the landscape and vegetation that meet here in such a charming and contrasting way - the two ways of life are also combined in harmony.

Active with pleasure between orchards, alpine meadows and eternal ice
Dorf Tirol is an ideal area for active people - from pleasurable walks through orchards and wine terraces to hikes along lush green alpine meadows, past romantic mountain farms and clear mountain lakes, to challenging mountain tours on the Mutspitze in the Texelgruppe Nature Park. The entire nature park can be hiked around in several daily stages on the Merano High Altitude Trail. In addition to 70 km of marked hiking trails, various theme trails, such as the apple, wine, culture or panorama trail, invite you to extended, enjoyable hikes. The Tappeinerweg is lined with subtropical plants and shrubs, along the Hans Falkner path you will find olive trees, laurel bushes, pines and cypresses. The climate is ideal for outdoor activities. The warm spring here begins as early as March with temperatures around 17 degrees and enchants with a splendor of flowers against the backdrop of snow-covered mountain peaks.
