The Prantacher Alm is a worthwhile excursion destination.
It is open from May to October without a day off.

If you are traveling by car, drive to San Martino in Val Passiria/Passeiertal and, coming from Merano/Meran, turn right at the sign for the golf course. Continue upwards on a somewhat narrower road, as signposted, in the direction of Fartleis until you reach the last parking lot - you can stop earlier if you wish, but then of course your hiking time will be longer. If you drive to the last parking lot, you will reach the Prantacher Alm/Fartleis at an altitude of 1,470 m after a good hour's walk.

On the way there, you hike through fragrant meadows, accompanied by a rushing stream, past freely grazing goats and cows until the valley opens up. Follow the white/red hiking markings and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains and unspoilt nature.

It won't be long before you can make out the outline of the rustic alpine hut. A friendly welcome from Christian & Sonja with their girls Silvia and Jenny, you can make yourself comfortable on the terrace while the aroma of dumplings, roast sheep and Kaiserschmarrn tempts you to feast.

Let us spoil you with simple yet unique alpine dishes, prepared with love from our own and regional products. Do you love summer drinks? Then try the refreshing aperitifs and fruity spritzes we create ourselves. Here you can take a deep breath with a beautiful view, recharge your batteries and enjoy to your heart's content. Far away from the hustle and bustle.

And the kids won't get bored either. The small playground with trampoline provides lots of fun, but the nearby mountain stream also has many little adventures in store and also offers a wonderful way to cool off on hot days.

So relaxed and invigorated, the way down is literally child's play.
