The highest 3S lift in the world not only takes you to the highest mountain station in Europe, it also combines the finest design.

Thanks to the new 3S cable car, the popular excursion destination Klein Matterhorn can now be visited 365 days a year.

A true pioneering achievement
Zermatt Bergbahnen AG and ropeway manufacturer LEITNER ropeways are responsible for the construction of the 3,940 meter long "Matterhorn glacier ride". After the official commissioning of the lift for the coming winter season, guests in Zermatt will be able to board 25 gondolas, each with 28 seats from the Pininfarina design studio, for the ride to Europe's highest mountain station at 3,821 meters above sea level. M.

Four of them are staged as so-called "Crystal ride" cabins. These gondolas are embellished with thousands of Swarovski crystals and have an integrated glass floor. Through the glass at their feet, passengers can look down almost 200 meters into the depths - a view of the impressive glacier world that will not be forgotten in a hurry and is sure to give one or two passengers a slight tingle in the stomach.

With a transport capacity of up to 2,000 passengers per hour, waiting times on Trockener Steg are a thing of the past. The nine-minute ride delights with first-class comfort and a fantastic all-round view of Zermatt's high alpine panorama.
