In Switzerland, you are never more than 15 kilometers away from the nearest body of water.

Full of turquoise blue - Lake Thun and Lake Brienz (Bern)
A fleet of 14 ships in total, including two paddle steamers, operate on Lakes Thun and Brienz, connecting Thun, Interlaken and Brienz in just over two hours. The fascinating lakes in the midst of the imposing mountains of the Bernese Oberland provide unique experiences of nature in any weather. Between them lies Interlaken, overlooked by the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. No other lake in Switzerland is as blue as Lake Brienz: sometimes a rich turquoise, then again a light silver-blue-gray - simply unique. For connoisseurs, a culinary stop at the historic Grandhotel Giessbach is recommended, and for the brave, a ride on the steam rack railroad up to the Brienzer Rothorn. On Lake Thun, a detour to the Beatus Caves with their impressive stalactite formations and underground waterfalls is worthwhile. The ships operate from March to December.

Steamboats in the heart of Switzerland (Lucerne - Lake Lucerne)
Five nostalgic paddle steamers and 15 elegant saloon motor ships present everything that the primeval nature of Central Switzerland has to offer on 38 kilometers of lake route. The ships operate daily and all year round. They provide access to famous resorts such as Bürgenstock or Weggis, the Rütli, hiking trails and numerous mountain railway stations on the lake. Worthwhile excursions include a ride on the world's steepest cogwheel railroad up Mount Pilatus or the Rigi round trip. In addition to the one-to-five-hour course cruises, the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company also offers culinary and musical themed cruises, such as the popular cake ship, the romantic sunset cruises, the fondue ship, and evening jazz cruises on the steamboat.

The largest paddle steamer fleet in Europe on Lake Geneva
The Belle Époque ships have been sailing on the largest inland lake in Central Europe for 140 years, offering dreamy cruises along the vineyards, castles (Chillon, Morges, Rolle and Yvoire) and snowy peaks of the Vaud Alps. The ships' moorings are the starting point for city tours rich in discoveries (Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Vevey). Among the living monuments of the Compagnie Générale de Navigation sur le Lac Léman (CGN) are eight paddle steamers.

Three-Lakes Cruise across the Jura Rim Lakes (Jura & Three-Lakes Country)
Navigation enthusiasts experience Lakes Murten, Neuchâtel and Biel as well as the romantic St. Peter's Island on an extended four-hour trip. Departure is from the historic Zähringer town of Murten. From there, the trip goes through the Broye Canal to Lake Neuchâtel. The trip along the Neuchâtel vineyards to the traditional spa and wellness town of Yverdon-les-Bains takes two and a half hours. Along the southeast shore of Lake Neuchâtel stretches "La Grande Cariçaie," a marshy area and bird paradise. The medieval town of Estavayer is also worth a stop. Via St. Peter's Island, where Jean-Jacques Rousseau stayed in the fall of 1765, the route leads through the picturesque Lake Biel to the watch metropolis of Biel. Trips will take place until October 15.
