Home of two wonders of the world

Postojna Cave Park is located only 49 km from the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, and is easily accessible by all means of transportation. The path leads you first to the underground wealth of Postojna Cave with majestic halls, diverse stalactites and mysterious animals. Just a few kilometers further, in the firm embrace of a mighty rock, sits Predjama Castle - a medieval wonder that has already defied time for more than 800 years. The adventure really begins here...

Ride the cave train

Those who set out on the hardly believable journey into the cave should remember for a moment that two million years of geological history, tens of thousands of years of formation of a true stalactite fairy tale can be experienced here by now millions of visitors.

The Adelsberg Cave (Postojnska jama) is one of the most famous tourist caves in the world with its galleries, corridors and halls with a length of 21 kilometers. Because of its immense beauty and numerous peculiarities, it fascinates visitors of all ages.
Postojna Cave is the only show cave that you can visit with a special train. You will pass under grandiose cave vaults, from which stalactites hang like crystal chandeliers, and be enchanted by the playful sculptures made of sinter that dot the landscape. You will be able to marvel at underground halls and in the narrow corridors your pulse will beat faster.

The visit to the cave takes an average of one and a half hours. For this, except for a warmer sweater and comfortable shoes, they do not need any special equipment.
