Rowing on the natural lake of Bohinj, kayak tours on the Soca or
Dive into the underwater world of Lake Bled - with its abundance of water, Slovenia fascinates its guests - athletes, active vacationers and nature lovers alike.
45 flowing bodies of water, each more than 25 kilometers long and covering a total of 12,000 hectares of water, offer themselves for splashy sports fun. On the large lakes of Bled and Bohinj not only surfers but also rowers will find a suitable terrain. The international rowing championship takes place every year on Lake Bled.
Kayaking and canoeing tours on the Soca River, which lead through wild-looking gorges and to rushing waterfalls, are very fast. On rafting trips, trained guides escort six to nine people per boat down the naturally formed chutes of the alpine riverbed, followed by a delicious picnic at quieter shore spots. Those seeking even more thrills will be pleased to find optimal hydrospeed conditions: The Soca with its wild tributaries and strong rapids provides pure excitement and challenge.
