It's not hard to keep your head down when the female golden eagle Taiga lands on the falconer's arm in rapid flight, just above the heads of the guests.

"Under the eagle's spell" is the name of the one-and-a-half-hour adventure hike that brings nature lovers unusually close to the king of the skies. On foot or by chairlift, hikers and eagles(!) reach the starting point: the mountain hut on the Sareiserjoch above Malbun at an altitude of 2,000 meters. It is only up here that the female eagle Taiga can take advantage of the thermals, soar up into the sky on the upwind of the steep slopes and make its wide circles there. From high up it returns again and again willingly to the fist of the falconer, who has a good meal ready in his leather-gloved fist. Only when Taiga is full, there is no more reason for further flight demonstrations and also the marmots whistling everywhere retreat calmly into their burrow.

No fear of contact
During the second bird of prey experience hike of the falconry, "On Du und Du mit dem Habicht", the guest, equipped with a leather arm guard, even has the opportunity to become a falconer himself once. The bird of prey settles willingly on the arm of the "hobby falconer" again and again, in order to circle silently and majestically directly above the heads of the hikers a little later.
