Guaranteed snow, over 300 days of sunshine, winter sports opportunities of all levels of difficulty.

The good accessibility and new traffic-calmed zones in the three villages make Val Gardena the perfect choice for a successful and stress-free winter vacation for young and old, not only for skiers.

Those looking for a change from the slopes in winter will quickly find it in Val Gardena. 115 kilometers of cross-country trails await cross-country skiers.
An insider tip is cross-country skiing on Monte Pana at the new cross-country skiing center. The altitude guarantees the necessary quality for skaters and for classic skiers there are also 35 kilometers of trails. The modern 8 km loop up to the Palusc meadows proves to be the ideal trail for recreational cross-country skiers.

Those who are looking for challenging ascents and rapid descents will find them at Monte Pana thanks to the connection to the cross-country ski trails of the Alpe di Siusi. The detailed signposting makes it possible to change the route at any time or to return to the starting point.

Winter and snowshoe hikers
get their money's worth in the Langental valley, for example. The untouched valley, shaped by ice age glaciers, leads nature lovers through a wildly romantic, picturesque high alpine landscape with steep rock faces to the right and left. A beautiful path leads here along the Via Crucis, a Way of the Cross with 15 Stations of the Cross into the Langental. All stations are made of stone pine trunks and are silent witnesses to the world-famous handicraft of Val Gardena.

Toboggan fans
will find several opportunities in Val Gardena. For the longest toboggan run in the Dolomites, the new, ultra-modern Raschötz funicular runs from Ortisei at 2,200 meters to the Raschötz Alm in 8 minutes. There you will find the entrance to the ski carousel Seceda - Col Raiser - Rasciesa and the start of the longest toboggan run in the Dolomites with 6 kilometers. Sledges can also be rented on site for a small fee.

Ice climbers
have during the winter months at four frozen waterfalls optimal conditions to practice this icy sport in a variety of ways.
