The special location makes the Alpine region a true hiking Mecca.

Nestled in the mountain ranges of the Wetterstein, the Karwendel Alpine Park and the Wildmoos landscape conservation area, the high plateau, which is open to the south, is the ideal "base camp" for all mountain enthusiasts and those who would like to become one. Over 650 marked hiking and mountain trail kilometers in all degrees of difficulty and over 60 managed alpine pastures and huts offer unforgettable nature experiences.

Family hikes are particularly popular in the Gaistal alpine paradise through the spectacular Leutascher Geisterklamm gorge or the Wildmoos landscape conservation area. Summit tours on the Hohe Munde or the Seefelder and Reitherspitze up to multi-day tours in the Karwendel Alpine Park become a lasting experience. Via ferratas and designated climbing areas make completely new mountain experiences possible. Those who want to be particularly safe on the move and also learn a lot of interesting and interesting facts while hiking are in good hands with the mountain guides and mountain hiking schools of the region.

Theme trails, theme hikes and Austria's largest nature park
Those who like "leisurely" hiking and want to learn a lot about nature and culture in the individual places will be thrilled by the hiking suggestions of the Olympiaregion Seefeld. Special theme trails are offered here. With the Peace Trail in Mösern, the Culture Trail in Reith and the Emperor Maximilian Trail around Seefeld Lake or the Art Trail in Leutasch, there are numerous opportunities for eventful days and active recreation in the most beautiful mountain scenery.
