Festival Lent | June 21-29, 2024
The story of the Lent Festival is the story of evenings that smell of summer and invite you to socialize and let off steam under the stars, amidst colourful lights, sounds and rhythms. To the squares that become event venues, to the streets that are flooded with a colorful stream of visitors from all over the world, to a place where you can meet up with friends. Every year in June, the medieval fasting quarter on the Drava, the historic squares, the picturesque streets of the old town and even the mighty city park are transformed into festival venues bursting with art, culture and creativity.

The Days of Poetry and Wine is the largest international poetry festival, bringing together the best poets and artists from all over the world and the best Slovenian wines in the charming old town of Ptuj. All festival events are held in Slovenian and English.

The aim of the festival is to encourage and promote young and emerging artists, especially European filmmakers, and to bring them into conversation with the audience.
