Go stalking together with professional guides. Observe chamois, red deer and eagles in the wild.

Observing wild animals in the wild is a very special experience for many nature-loving people. Here in Switzerland, you can not only experience the animals up close, but also learn lots of interesting facts about the most well-known animal species.

Hike to the birds of prey (Jura & Three-Lakes Region)
Birds of prey flying regally through the air are spotted on an excursion in the Jura mountains. With a trained guide, visitors discover kites, buzzards, hawks, falcons, sparrowhawks and even golden eagles in the Bernese Jura. The fascinating flight and hunting techniques of the birds make this three-hour hike a unique experience. The meeting point is Moutier railroad station, from where the tour continues into the Jura heights. The tour takes place in all weathers.

Wildlife spotting in the Bernese Oberland
Hikers can also go stalking for two to three hours in the Bernese Oberland. Together with a guide, participants travel by car from Hofstetten on Lake Brienz towards Gummenalp. The tour continues on foot towards Haslital, where visitors can observe chamois, ibex, roe deer and marmots. The tour takes place on Saturdays and ends on October 26.

Stags are differentiated according to the number of ends of their antlers.

The rut of the red deer (Graubünden)
Red deer, ibex, chamois and marmots live in the wild in Val Trupchun in the Swiss National Park. With a bit of luck, bearded vultures and golden eagles can also be admired. During the rutting season, around 500 red deer fill the valley with sound - this alone is a very special experience. Guests are accompanied on a four- to eight-hour tour and observe the animals through a telescope.

The roaring of the deer (Valais)
In the fall, the deer set the tone. During the rutting season, from mid-September to mid-October, the stags fight for the title of top stag in the forests of Soi near Champéry. Their loud bellowing to ward off the competition and keep the herd members together can be heard across the forests. With mountain guide Jean-Luc Tordeur, the guests set off in search of the majestic animal. This excursion promises thrills and adrenaline.

Chamois - During the mating season at the end of fall, the males engage in fierce chases.

Watch bearded vultures and chamois (Valais)
Every Wednesday afternoon, guests in Valais travel from Leukerbad to the Gemmi on the Gemmi cable car. A guide introduces participants to the impressive high alpine wildlife. Visitors learn exciting stories about "bearded vultures, chamois & co", which they can observe on the Gemmi. The meeting point is in front of the Wildstrubel restaurant at the mountain station.

Hike with birds of prey (Eastern Switzerland/Liechtenstein)
A unique hike with birds of prey is offered in Atzmännig. On the two-hour guided tour through the Goldingertal valley, a falconer and hiking guide shows guests the natural habitat of the animals. The excursion leads from the mountain station back to the valley station. The hike is so special because it is adapted to the respective flight paths of the birds of prey. It can also be combined with a bird of prey flight show.
