Visit Austria's largest flower festival - the Daffodil Festival - from 30 May to 2 June 2024 in Ausseerland

The wild growing daffodils decorate the flower meadows of the Ausseerland-Salzkammergut region in spring. They transform the idyllic mountain and lake landscape between Dachstein, Loser and the Tote Gebirge into a fragrant sea of blossoms. Yellow, white, green - as far as the eye can see.

Beautiful, intricately designed figures made of blossoms

The oversized flower figures are more than worth seeing. It takes up to 100,000 daffodil blossoms to bring one of the popular cartoon or animal figures to life. The best view of all the figures is on Sunday, during the town parade and the boat parade at Grundlsee. An experience for the whole family!

Around 3,000 volunteers help every year with the daffodil picking and the production of the flower artworks. Interested visitors can also help out with the figure staking! About 20,000 guests are expected during the Daffodil Festival in Bad Aussee, Altaussee and Grundlsee.
