Up to Bettmeralp, into the winter!

At an altitude of 2000 m you climb up to Bettmeralp with the large cabin and land in the middle of winter. The car-free and family-friendly alp on the Aletsch Glacier in the UNESCO World Heritage Site is an international meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts. Because here you can experience something: the good Valais mountain air, 100 well-groomed kilometers of slopes as well as many snow sports offers - and everything from December to April.

Fortunately, it's always the same: while it's still raining down in the Rhone Valley, the first snowflakes are falling up on Bettmeralp. And it stays that way until April. So it's a beautiful prospect to spend a snowy winter vacation here alone, with several people or with the whole family. Whoever stays at Bettmeralp will stay in a traditional chalet or a modern hotel, will appreciate the short distances from the front door to the slopes, will learn the latest techniques in a ski or snowboard course or will simply ski through the fabulous mountain scenery as the mood takes you.

The Aletsch Ski Pass opens the door to 35 cable cars and lifts throughout the ski area and, at the summit stations, a wonderful view of the Great Aletsch Glacier - at 23 km, the largest ice stream in the Alps. There is also a huge program for the youngest guests, who can make their first turns in the snow sports school and perhaps take part in the first ski race of their lives.

Winter on Bettmeralp also means walking on the enchanting snow-covered panorama trail Riederalp - Bettmeralp - Fiescheralp, hiking on the snowshoe trail or cross-country skiing on the small but beautiful trail around Lake Bettmer. An active and carefree day on Bettmeralp ends comfortably in the hostel or in one of the many restaurants or bars. But maybe also at the moonlight dinner on the Bettmerhorn - with or without torchlight descent...
