The Mönchsjochhütte is located in the heart of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 4,000-metre mountains are close enough to touch and the views are almost endless!

Delicious cuisine and a unique, breathtaking view - that's what the Mönchsjochhütte offers at an altitude of 3,657 meters in the Swiss Alps. It is one of the attractions of the world-famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau triumvirate, in the heart of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is the highest managed hut in Switzerland. The route to the mountain hut begins on the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe and leads through a high alpine glacier world.

From March onwards, guests are once again welcomed by hut manager Yann Roulet. The hut is not only easily accessible for alpinists, but also for families with children. A trip on the Jungfrau Railway to the world-famous Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe - can be perfectly combined with a hike to the Mönchsjochhütte. Clothing and footwear should be appropriate.
The route over the glacier to the hut, which starts at the Sphinx tunnel of the Jungfrau Railway mountain station, is prepared daily by a snow groomer and takes around 45 minutes. You can stop off at the Mönchsjochhütte until the end of October.
