Along the Valüna stream, the route leads to the hospitable Alp Valüna and up to the Pfälzerhütte. The impressive highlight of the hike is the sunrise on the summit of the Naafkopf.

The tour starts at the Gänglesee in Steg and first leads into the romantic Valünatal. At Alp Valüna you can take a rest before the trail becomes steeper. At the junction in Obersäss, the hiking route joins the Liechtensteiner Panoramaweg a steep quarter of an hour above. The path leads in synchrony with the Via Alpina through the Naaftal, which is rich in plants and encircled by scree slopes, then the Pfälzerhütte is reached.

If you spend the night there, the following morning you should undertake the approximately one-hour ascent to the Naafkopf and enjoy an unforgettable sunrise. The Naafkopf is where the borders of Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein meet. With a bit of luck, you can also see rock deer. The way back is back to the Pfälzerhütte and then down to Alp Gritsch. From there the hiking trail winds in serpentines through the steep Retta rock face back to Alp Valüna and Lake Gänglesee.
