National holiday

The Liechtenstein State Holiday takes place annually on August 15. It begins with the official state ceremony, speeches by H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein and President of the Liechtenstein Parliament Albert Frick, followed by an aperitif in the castle grounds.

This is followed by celebrations in the town of Vaduz... performances by various artists from the region, a torchlight procession along the Fürstensteig and a bonfire...
