Alta Badia is often described as a ski resort for connoisseurs - in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site on the sunny side of the Alps.

The picturesque Dolomite landscape with its proud peaks, always present but never obtrusive, impressively underlines this claim. On the slopes in Alta Badia you can experience the splendor of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in all its beauty.

But what do skiers expect from an area for connoisseurs? Appealing wide slopes for relaxed descents, for example. There are more than enough of these in Alta Badia. Around Piz La Ila, Piz Sorega and Pralongiá there is an extensive network of wonderful downhill runs. Or are you perhaps looking for spectacular slopes with a high adventure factor? This demand is met, for example, by the world-famous Sella Ronda. A loop with skis and lifts around the monumental Sella massif is the highlight of any ski vacation in the Dolomites.

A real insider tip
on the other hand, is the excursion by cable car to the top of Lagazuoi with the panoramic slope towards Armentarola. A pleasure descent par excellence, with a real gourmet hut as a stopover. And at the end you are pulled by Haflingers towards the bus station. An ecotaxi of the classic kind. The Gran Risa slope, where the world's best giant slalom racers compete for victory every year, promises a completely different kind of enjoyment.

Typical Alta Badia
At the top of the mountain station an elegant gourmet restaurant, not the only culinary attraction. Numerous huts serve up tempting creations by renowned chefs. You can experience the sunrise at a hut, fortify yourself at the breakfast buffet with South Tyrolean specialties and then ski down the virgin slopes. Pleasure has many facets in Alta Badia. Of course, you can also simply ski and enjoy more than 500 kilometers of slopes.
