How about a tobogganing adventure for example

on the tracks of Georg Hackl, the world's most successful luger, who comes from the Christophorus forge and is now part of the coaching team of the German national team. On selected dates, guests can rent a sled and helmet for seven euros with a guest card or nine euros without a guest card - and then race through the ice channel at Königssee at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour. Even if you don't start from the very top, but where the youngest junior athletes get on the track, you get a feel for the challenge that the pros face in the world's oldest artificial ice rink. After all, the track is still considered one of the most technically demanding among top international lugers.

While you have to find the ideal line yourself when sledding in the chute, an experienced pilot steers in the racing bobsled. The top speed is 130 kilometers per hour. The adventure, which is only recommended for daredevils without back problems, begins rather leisurely. Unlike in the official racing circus, there is no flying start. The guests can take their seats in peace. The four-man bobsled is pushed and slowly picks up speed. Seconds later, however, legendary curves such as the "Snake Pit", "Turbodrom" and "Echo Wall" are passed, which still command the respect of even top athletes.

Those who prefer a more rustic and idyllic experience have a choice of twelve natural toboggan runs in the Berchtesgadener Land region. The longest one winds its way from the Kührointalm over 6.3 kilometers to the valley. In the face of the Watzmann, you first hike a good hour and a half to the starting point - pack some hot tea and chocolate for a snack before the fast-paced toboggan run begins. The tobogganing adventure at Hirscheck is only recommended for experienced skiers, because the route is really tough. At the top, the Hirschkaser mountain restaurant is waiting to warm you up. If you want, you can save yourself the climb and take the chairlift. Relaxed tobogganing even with small children is possible at Hintersee, among other places.

While touring skiers arrive back home in the late afternoon, cross-country skiers can enjoy the winter in Berchtesgadener Land until later in the evening. At the Aschauerweiher cross-country skiing center, ambitious skiers can still make their rounds under floodlight - and in between they can decide which of the total of 100 kilometers of cross-country trails they will take under their battens the next day. The high plateau of Scharitzkehl is considered to be particularly snow-sure, the "Gmoa Arena" to be challenging and excursions in the Rupertiwinkel promise the best views of the peaks of the Berchtesgaden Alps.
