Alpine landscapes, breathtaking views, crystal clear lakes, charming hosts, hearty delicacies and urbane Bavarian joie de vivre,

that's what the alpine region of Tegernsee Schliersee at the foot of the Bavarian foothills of the Alps stands for. Just a few kilometers south of Munich, the best conditions for hiking, walking, cycling, swimming, sailing and adventure await the whole family.

With over 1,000 kilometers of hiking trails, the Tegernsee Schliersee Alpine region is a true paradise for hikers. However, cyclists, water sports enthusiasts and Nordic walking fans also get their money's worth. The most famous mountains in the region - Wendelstein, Wallberg and Rotwand - together with the numerous lakes provide an impressive alpine panorama and the Bavarian cordiality of the hosts spoils the heart and senses.

"Yes, are you in heaven?" - Original Bavarian Hiker's Paradise
Summit experiences for mountain sports enthusiasts, pleasure dream tours for nature lovers, long-distance hiking trails for border crossers as well as the meditation trail for contemplative moments are only a part of the countless hiking possibilities in the Alpine region. Families will enjoy exciting adventure trails where they can explore the real, untouched animal and plant world with wooden telescopes at Lake Tegernsee, Lake Schliersee or in Bayrischzell. Water playgrounds, lookout towers and barefoot paths along the way provide plenty of fun. And at the sight of rushing waterfalls, not only children's eyes light up.

"There's so much more" - On land, on water and in the air
More than 2,000 kilometers of cycling and mountain bike trails also make the hearts of cyclists beat faster. From easy, family-friendly tours to challenging trails, everything is there. A 20-kilometer circular route takes you once around Lake Tegernsee. "3 lakes in 3 days" can be experienced by e-bikers, while trained mountain bikers, for example, prefer the varied tour "Erzherzog-Johann-Reibn".

Rich in lakes and waters, the alpine region spoils small and big water rats. Swimming and sunbathing, including the Bavarian Alpine panorama - smaller lakes such as the Hackensee near Holzkirchen or the Seehamer See near Weyarn invite you to do so. Lake Tegernsee and Lake Schliersee are also a paradise for divers, surfers and sailors. And all those who want to take off can enjoy the fantastic natural scenery from a bird's eye view during a balloon flight or a paragliding flight.
