As unique as the original building structure of Castel Hörtenberg is, so is the pleasure experience offered to guests in the castle's centuries-old wine cellar. Where once valuable wines were stored, long wooden tables now await wine lovers under the heavy barrel vault to taste fine wines from the owner family's Tuscan "Ampeleia" winery and other selected oenological treasures from around the world. Since healthy enjoyment always goes hand in hand with physical well-being, the Podini family decided - not without some hesitation - to dedicate the north wing of the first floor to physical fitness. Equipped with exclusive fitness equipment of the Technogym brand, the active traveler now finds here in the historical ambience everything he is used to in modern city hotels...and a little bit more beauty.
A fitting counterpart to this is the elegant wellness area of the new garden wing. A classic Finnish sauna and a bio sauna overlooking the garden provide gentle balance. Warm colors and natural materials also create a relaxed feel-good atmosphere in the relaxation and treatment rooms, which are enhanced by a health-promoting wall of rose-red Himalayan salt blocks and balancing color showers.
