For all those who don't ski but love winter... Snowshoeing with an impressive mountain panorama, feeding wild animals or gliding along on cross-country skis
Whereas in the past, trudging through the wintry landscape on snowshoes was an endless effort, today snowshoeing is one of the most pleasant and relaxing ways to get out and about in the great outdoors in winter. What's more, snowshoeing is one of the most sustainable winter sports. This is because it combines everything that is good for relaxation and self-care - nature as far as the eye can see, clear, fresh mountain air and steady, rhythmic movement. And the great thing about it: no previous experience or specific training is required for snowshoeing. If you want to give it a try, you can hire the equipment on site - Lech Zürs Tourismus has all the necessary information available. Strap on your snowshoes and off you go. Highly recommended: a hike with a guide. He knows the area like the back of his hand and leads you along the most beautiful routes to the best places.
Cross-country skiing is physically more strenuous and more demanding in terms of technique. But here too, endurance, fitness and, last but not least, mental well-being are strengthened without having to expose yourself to competition. The focus is on relaxed, energy-saving, even gliding and harmonious movement sequences. In Lech Zürs, cross-country skiers can enjoy 27 kilometers of perfectly groomed and varied trails. Ambitious as well as leisure cross-country skiers will enjoy themselves.
Hiking in winter
Whether it's an extended winter hike or a refreshing walk - there are a variety of hiking trails in and around Lech Zürs. The winter hiking trail network covers a total of 40 kilometers. The greatest possible variety in an atmospheric setting is therefore guaranteed. The sun terraces at the edge of the ski slopes invite you to enjoy a lively break, numerous rustic alpine huts invite you to take a break away from the hustle and bustle - with a delicious snack and a steaming hot drink, you can enjoy the view of the magnificent winter landscape of Lech Zürs in the most pleasant way.
The discounted lift ticket takes you comfortably to lofty heights. Above the tree line, a breathtaking panorama and attractive high-altitude hiking trails await, such as from Oberlech via Tannegg to Kriegeralpe or the well-secured "Gaisbühel" high-altitude hiking trail.
But a little more adrenaline
The opportunities to be active away from the ski slopes are not enough. A 1.2-kilometre-long bobsleigh run winds its way through the forest of Lech and has a few quick turns in store. And the shot run in front of the valley station is guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping. Great fun that can be repeated quickly: The Oberlech cable car takes adventure-seekers back to the start within four minutes.
